Aetna announced that The Aetna Foundation is donating $500,000 to the Americares COVID-19 Mental Health and Psychosocial Support project to help front line health care workers, particularly those who serve low-income populations, improve their mental health awareness, knowledge and resiliency, and understand the mental health concerns impacting their patients. The Aetna Foundation is also making a $300,000 grant to the Crisis Text Line, which provides 24/7 confidential direct mental health support for those on the front lines, including health care workers dealing with the stress, anxiety, fear, depression and/or isolation associated with COVID-19.
